Meet your host

Hi, I'm Adam.

We're a family of outdoor enthusiasts who fell in love with camping later in life. We started Kehela Camping in 2024 so more families could enjoy Michigan's parks without owning a truck, a hitch or a camper. I deliver the trailer myself, set it up, walk you through it, and come back to pack it up.

Every booking does more: 100% of Kehela Camping's revenue funds Project X, our work on an assistive mobility device to make every walkable place accessible to wheelchair users. Our mission

Questions guests ask

Do I need a truck or camping experience?

No. Pick delivery and we tow the trailer to your campsite, level it, hook it up and show you how everything works, then pack it up when you leave. If you prefer to tow it yourself, it weighs just 3,584 lbs dry, so many mid-size SUVs can pull it; we include the weight distribution hitch and sway bar and walk you through it at pickup in Rochester Hills.

Which campgrounds do you deliver to?

Every Lower Peninsula state park: we are a Michigan DNR permitted vendor, listed on the state’s official RV rentals page at michigan.gov/dnr, plus recreation areas and county parks in Southeast Michigan. Delivery and setup is a flat fee per park, from $60 at Stony Creek Metropark and Addison Oaks. You reserve the campsite yourself, or choose The Just Show Up Experience and we book it for you.

What is included?

Plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, mugs, an outdoor gas griddle, two 20 lb propane tanks, paper towels and toilet paper, water and sewer hoses, leveling blocks and chocks, and a 30-amp cord with surge protector. Bring pillows, sheets, blankets and towels, or add Linen Plus ($75). Add-ons: generator $50, kayak $40, gazebo $50.

What is The Just Show Up Experience?

Our all-inclusive package at Stony Creek Metropark or Addison Oaks: your campsite is included ($50/night on top of the $125 trailer rate), plus delivery, setup and pack-up ($100), firewood ($50), Linen Plus ($75) and dumping ($75). We set everything up before you arrive. No 3-night minimum. These sites have no electricity, so add the $50 generator for AC.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Pets are welcome with a $60 cleaning fee; the refundable deposit is $1,000 instead of $500.

When do I pay, and what if I need to cancel?

Everything is paid online at booking: the full trip total plus the refundable security deposit. Full refund 30+ days before your trip, 50% refund 8 to 30 days before, no refund within 7 days. The deposit is refunded within 3 to 7 business days after inspection.
